Children Teach Us Art

LESSON #1: Are you too concerned about a final product that you don’t enjoy the process enough (or at all!)? Our world is too product oriented. In art classes , in creativity and in life, children teach us to enjoy the moment. Be present. If you can’t enjoy the journey, then what’s the point? 

CREATIVE ACTION STEP: Go do something this week that has nothing to do with a final product and everything to do with a fun, meaningful process. Jump in a puddle. Dance in the rain (without an umbrella!). Sing in the shower. Stick your hands in pink paint! Embrace the joy of being ALIVE. That is what art is all about.
