FEAR-FREE BEGINNERS DRAWING CLASS IN CENTRAL PARK

*It’s never too late to create! This art class has already begun, and we welcome new students to join at the prorated cost that reflects the number of weeks remaining in the class. Our instructors will catch you up!.

Enjoy in-person, outdoor adult classes with New York City’s #1-rated art studio, The Art Studio NY! With small groups of 13 participants maximum, we will express our inner-artists in spacious, beautiful outdoor locations in Central Park.

Feel inspired by our parks, gardens, landscapes, and city architecture as you learn artistic techniques, explore drawing materials, receive expert art instruction based on your needs and interests, and create unique artwork to feel proud of. Come with a friend or make new friends… All are welcome!

Small group art instruction is provided so each participant both stays safe and receives ongoing personalized attention and guidance tailored to your skill level, needs and interests. In our outdoor class, adults will:

• • Explore and learn new drawing techniques while tapping into your unique self-expression
  • Enjoy tailor-made, encouraging and non-judgemental one-on-one expert art instruction from our New York City art educators.
  • Learn how to draw “En Plein Air” like the masters Monet and Renoir
  • Tap into your personal, unique artistic style

Outdoor Class Precautions to Stay Safe

We are committed to the safety and health of our students and staff. To ensure a safe learning experience, our outdoor art classes will:

• • Take place during less crowded times and days or spaces in parks
  • Students will provide their own picnic blankets for sitting on the grass, benches, or other park surfaces

• Data has shown outdoor classes to be the safest option for outdoor learning
• Feel inspired and learn to create en plein aire outdoors, like many famous artists have
• Peace of mind, calmness and anxiety reduction from being in nature

Because of limited outdoor weather, any classes canceled due to inclement weather will automatically be scheduled to meet online.

  Drawing Class Meeting Spot: This class will meet weekly on the Upper East Side. Specific locations in Central Park, entering from 5th Avenue in  the East 70s and East 80s, will be provided upon registration.

Please bring:

• a pencil
• a kneaded eraser
• a vinyl eraser
• drawing paper (a Sketch or Drawing pad you feel comfortable carrying)
• vine charcoal
• a few paper towels, napkins, or baby wipes
• Optional: Water, a blanket
