Structure of Our Art Class
At The Art Studio NY, students will:
Create original artworks in drawing, painting, and mixed-media
Receive one-on-one, customized art instruction from professional artists in NYC
Practice observational drawing and painting inspired by still life, portraits, figures, landscapes, and abstraction
Strengthen technical skills: line, shading, perspective, dimension, contrast, value, and composition
Explore painting techniques in watercolor and acrylics, including color mixing, layering, washes, texture, and brushwork
Experiment with diverse art materials like oil pastels, charcoal, collage, pencils, mixed-media, and more
Learn from both classic and contemporary artists while developing a personal, authentic style
Build confidence, creative problem-solving, and artistic voice while socializing in a supportive environment
