Since all classes take place live, in real time, art instructors and kids engage socially, while kids learn, create and make art in an online group setting.

Welcome to Your Child’s New Happy Place

Being home everyday is hard during the COVID-19 crisis. Parents feel stressed and need a break, and kids need structure and social engagement. Our online art classes for kids and teens of all ages and skill levels. We aim to nourish every student creatively and individually, based on each person’s unique needs and interests.

Structure of Our Online Art Class

All of our online classes are live in “real time”, with a Professional New York City Artist, also an esteemed Art Educator, as your creative guide! All online art classes begin with an engaging, learning-filled discussion between students and their art teacher as kids are introduced, verbally and visually, to art history fun-facts and famous artists from around the world such as Matisse, Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt, and more!

As your teacher provides group instruction, individualized guidance will also be provided to every child in the online class. Students will also engage with each other socially as they share in creative critiques, comment on one another’s artwork, socialize together and have FUN! Step-by-step drawing, painting and mixed-media art projects will be created in every class for kids to feel proud of! Through drawing, watercolor painting, collage and other art supplies that don’t make a mess at home, both budding artists and parents find their art class with The Art Studio NY to be their favorite part of the week.

My 6-year-old daughter took your art camps this past summer and LOVED IT! Thank you so much, and we are looking forward to her doing lots of art again this summer with you!

We brought our high school students during our fine arts trip to NYC from the DC area, so they could have a memorable learning experience, and we were not disappointed. Meera worked with us for months helping with planning and looking into variety of options to accommodate our large group (44 students total). Our instructors were Jessie and Sophia, and they were super helpful and great with our high school students!

As a result, we were able to have 2 groups participate one after another- both enjoyed the experience very much. The instructors were friendly, prepared, and offered painting materials like acrylic paint, chalk pastel, and collage, plus reference photos of various parts of NYC for our use. As a result, everyone really enjoyed the class.

The Art Studio NY rocks! I love this place for the entire family.

I am currently taking my fourth class at TASNY and my 4 year old son is taking his second! I started with basic acrylic painting having never painted before. Then I took a figure painting class and now I am taking my second oil painting class. The instructors are all amazing and provide assistance and guidance while still enabling me to find my own artistic style. The childrens’ classes are wonderful as well. They are taught by sweet and fun-loving instructors and the kids love them!

My 10-year old daughter joined their art summer camp and she was extremely happy with the experience – Her art teachers were great and very encouraging. Highly recommended.

The Art Studio NY is our favorite place on The Upper West Side. My twin daughters have been taking classes here for the past three years, and we even had our birthday party here! The staff is warm and welcoming, the instructors are inspiring and engaging, and my daughters are learning about modern artists, creativity and their own self-expression. Best hidden jewel in NYC!

My son takes the comics drawing class with Jake. Jake is such a patient and talented teacher. We look forward to our art classes at The Art Studio NY all week long.

The instructors are amazingly talented; not just with their artistic abilities, but also with the students. It is one of the ONLY classes we are re-registering for, which says a lot considering how many options we have as New Yorkers.
