My instructor was creative and warm (and talented). My Mixed-Media Class was one of my favorite classes I’ve had. There’s a good mix of instruction and free-expression. I learned to be comfortable with less control – to be more patient and let the work develop. I became more free and less critical.

The people, the enviroment, the freedom to express yourself, the endless possibilites, reading The Art Studio NY blog ,the overwhelming feeling of inspiration, finding The Art Studio NY for the first time anf the feeling of always wanting to be here creating are my favorite things! I really like the comfortable and encouraging positive atmosphere here. My instructor really seemed to understand the ideas that I had and knew ways to execute them. That really challenged my artistic ability in a good way!

There’s an environment of creativity, self-reflection & expression. The small sizes of the class are very intimate and non-intimidating. My instructor’s style of teaching really spoke to me. He not only teaches "practical"/ formal techniques, but makes us think critically about our work.

Honestly, every day here is my favorite! I love when everyone does something different in my class and being able to see the changes in their work. I’ve learned to make friendships through art – my Mixed-Media class has great discussions and is very stimulating creatively.

In my class, learning methods are personalized and give space for self-expression. I loved having a feeling of freedom and to experience art through Mixed-Media!

I love the class environment and that my teach talks to each student according to their own style. I learnt how to look at the big picture rather than just copying paint strokes. I love it here because the staff are all amazing!
