Jonah Johnson

Art Instructor

Jonah Johnson is a New York artist and Art Educator residing in Brooklyn. He has been drawing and creating for as long as he can remember, and he truly knew he was an artist when he was six years old, and has been an artist ever since. For Jonah, art is one of the most important parts of his life because it allows him to escape into his imagination, provides him with a way of expressing himself, and simultaneously keeps him disciplined in valuable ways. One of Jonah’s greatest goals in life is to inspire others through art while passing down his artistic knowledge in meaningful ways that impact others positively. Jonah offers a uniquely supportive, creative and inspiring presence, and he naturally creates a warm, welcoming and fun learning environment in all of his art studio classes.

As both an artist and art educator, Jonah values judgment-free creativity, curiosity, and maintaining an open mind. His greatest goal as an educator is for his students to accomplish something they can feel proud of, including the joy of learning something new while enjoying the journey of improving their personal creative skills.

While Jonah is most passionate about traditional illustration and inking, he also works across a variety of artistic mediums, including sculpture, painting, and digital art. Jonah has a degree in Studio Arts from Pasadena City College. When he’s not making art, Jonah enjoys exploring New York City, playing video games, and spending time with his family.
