Kaspar Horsfield (He/Him) is a professional artist and art educator who infuses all of his art classes with excitement, enthusiasm and passion. He fosters a welcoming, judgement-free learning environment where students of all skill levels, total beginners included, are encouraged to experiment, let go of perfectionism, ask questions, and express their authentic selves. No student left behind describes Kaspar’s learning philosophy best, and in each art class he teaches, Kaspar accommodates every individual student’s unique learning style. Being neurodivergent himself, Kaspar combines verbal, written, and visual instruction for the optimal learning experience. Kaspar is a queer & trans artist who is passionate about nurturing creative expression in each of his students.

Kaspar has been honing his artistic skills in Digital Illustration since 2014, and he has a particular artistic focus on Character Design & Story Writing. He believes that the saying, “Jack of all trades master of none, but better than master of one,” encapsulates his artistic journey best. Kaspar is a skilled artist in a variety of mediums, including, but not limited to, Printmaking (Intaglio, Woodcut, & Linocut), Fiber Arts (Crochet, Costuming, & Mending), and Textile Arts (Weaving).

Kaspar graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a Minor in Italian from Purchase College, SUNY in 2021. Originally from Westchester County, NY, Kaspar now lives in the Pioneer Valley, MA.
