Stephanie Saywell

Director of Studio Operations

Stephanie Saywell is based in New York City and is passionate about creating greater accessibility in the arts and art education. An avid patron of the visual arts, she believes that one of the most powerful ways we can connect with ourselves and each other is through creativity.

Stephanie brings many years of experience as an arts administrator and creator from a wide range of art sectors to The Art Studio NY and is excited to support students of all ages and experiences in discovering and growing their artistry. She values connection and believes in showing up with warmth, curiosity, and generosity for everything she does.

Stephanie is drawn to art forms of all mediums. She especially loves cross-disciplinary works and art that brings stories to life, such as work by artists Kay Nielsen and John William Waterhouse. She believes in the ability of art to transform us, as both creator and viewer, and that process is deeply important and deserves to be championed.

Stephanie’s professional experience includes serving as an administrator and executive level assistant for several fast-paced art non-profits, managing an independent bookstore, and stage-managing multiple shows in NYC. She holds a BA in Written Arts and a BA in Dance from Bard College, as well as a Certificate of Completion from the Dell’ Arte International School of Physical Theatre. Outside of her professional life, she is an ardent reader, writer, choreographer, and museum-goer.
